Your landlord won’t see who wrote it

  • Your name, email and document are never shown on the site, and never given to landlords or agents. Only our moderators see them.
  • Your review appears as “✓ Verified tenant”. When you lived there is never shown, so it’s harder to tell who wrote it.
  • Landlords must never pressure tenants about reviews. If one does, tell us.
  • People who know you might still recognise you from details in your review, so leave out anything that would give you away.

The first question every renter asks: what does it really cost? Energy for a typical home is £1,723 a year under the current price cap, but a cold flat can cost far more, so your real bills help a lot. Rent is only ever shown as a range.

3Proof you lived there

You’ll need a tenancy agreement or a proof of address for the flat: a council tax bill, a utility bill or a bank statement.

  • No personal names: reviews are about the flat and the building, not people.
  • Landlords and agents can reply in public. Nobody can pay to hide or remove a review.
